Yes, this is a Google Doc. No funnel, no fluff. Just what the interview is, how we promote it, and how to book.

STEP 2
See how we promote it
The part most interviews skip. Here's how one conversation gets in front of new people.

Get referrals without paying for ads
Want to see the bigger system behind it? Map the partners already in your market in about three minutes.
Start Here →Dear expert,
Imagine someone asking you the one question about your work you could answer for twenty minutes straight.
Imagine that answer getting in front of people who need exactly what you do, and the businesses who already serve them.
Imagine doing it once, in under an hour, and never having to write a post about it.
That's the Expert Series. And almost every real expert has an interview like that in them that nobody has ever recorded.
But before I show you how it works…
Everyone sounds like an expert now
Anyone can put out polished posts, articles and videos with the same tools. Every website in your category says the same things. Quality service. Family owned. Years of experience.
Meanwhile, the thing that actually makes you different, the trick only you know, the job everyone else got wrong, the lesson you learned the hard way, lives in your head and in your customers' stories. Nowhere a new customer could find it.
Having done the work a few thousand times is the one thing nobody can copy. It just needs someone to ask the questions and press record.
Back to the way it's always worked
Before ads and algorithms, business grew one way. Real people who were great at something got known for it, met other people who were great at something else, and sent each other customers.
We're bringing that back on purpose. The Expert Series features people who are the best at one specific thing. Not five AC companies doing the same thing, but five who are each the go-to for something different: the old houses, the ductless systems, the commercial rooftops, the jobs others turn away.
Every guest becomes part of a community of experts who know each other, trust each other, and refer each other.
Is this you?
- You're the go-to for one specific thing. A system, a material, a kind of customer, a problem others won't touch.
- You've done it for years. Your reviews or your customers say the same thing about you without being asked.
- You'd rather show what you know than shout about it.
It's not for you if…
- You want to be paid to appear, or you'd rather pay to appear.
- You'd rather talk about your business in general than your thing in particular.
Under an hour, one take, and you're done
- Book a time. Pick a slot above and tell us the one thing you're best at.
- 15 minute prep. We walk through the questions so nothing catches you off guard.
- 20 to 30 minute interview. A conversation, not a presentation. We ask, you answer like you would to a customer. We edit out anything that doesn't land.
- Wrap. We agree what goes out and when.
- If we need it, one more short call. To review the interview and walk through your distribution plan together.
Not great on camera? That's most of the best guests. It's two people talking about something you know cold.
How one interview gets you in front of new people
Most shows post the episode and forget it. We treat your interview like a campaign, and it runs on three tracks.
TRACK 1
Our audience
We publish it on our YouTube and socials, cut clips of your best answers, and send it to our email list as a feature on you and what you do.
TRACK 2
Your audience
We help you share it with the people who already know you. We write the email to your customer list and the posts for your socials, ready to send. Your customers get a reason to hear from you, and a reason to forward it.
TRACK 3
Businesses who could send you work
This is the part nobody else does. We put your interview in front of the businesses that already serve your customers before or after you, the ones who get asked "who do you recommend?" every week, and we start the referral conversation for you. The interview does the introducing.
Five partners each sending a few customers a month is a second sales team with no salaries. Your interview is how the conversation starts.
Our challenge: one conversation, new customers
Here's the bar we set for ourselves. Take one interview with you and turn it into new business, without you paying for an ad and without anything up front.
What that looks like depends on the business. For some guests it's two or three new customers. For others it's ten or twenty. We'll tell you honestly what we think is realistic for yours on the prep call.
Why would we do that for free? Because when it works, you're the proof. And the people you introduce us to see it working too. Everybody wins.
Why listen to me?
I taught referral partnerships to 300 agency owners ten years ago. Recently I was asked to speak about it again at an AI Summit.
The tools changed. The principle didn't. People buy from people they trust, and they trust the people the people they trust recommend.
Here's everything you get, free
- A recorded interview about the one thing you're best at.
- Clips of your best answers, ready to post.
- A feature to our audience, on our channels and our email list.
- Your email and posts, written for you, ready to send to your own people.
- Your interview in front of referral partners, the businesses that already serve your customers.
- A place in the expert community, with other guests who refer each other.
- The Partner Plan app and the Skool group, if you want to build your own partner channel.
So what's the catch?
There isn't one.
- The interview is free.
- The promotion is free.
- There's nothing to buy and no fee to be featured.
The only thing we ask: when it's live, share it with your people. That's how the whole thing grows, experts sending their audiences to each other.
And if you like what we do and want help building your own referral channel afterwards, that's on the map page. You'll never be pitched on the interview.
Questions
Do I need an audience or a following?
No. That's the point. We bring ours, and we help you reach the people who already trust you.
Is this a podcast?
It's a video interview series. Long-form on YouTube, clips on socials, features in our email. Call it what you like.
Do I need to prepare?
No. The 15 minute prep is the preparation. Bring yourself and a quiet spot.
What if I'm not good on camera?
Most of the best guests say that. It's a conversation, and we edit. You can also bring someone from your team.
Can I use the interview myself?
Yes. Post it, send it, put it on your website. It's yours to share anywhere.
How do you pick guests?
We look for people who are the go-to for one specific thing, and we look for proof: what your customers say, what you specialize in, how long you've done it.
What do you get out of it?
Great content for our audience, a community of real experts, and, when the promotion works, proof that our approach works. Some guests later ask us to help build their referral channel. Most just become friends who refer each other.
My industry has advertising rules. Is that a problem?
No. For law, healthcare, finance and similar fields, we keep it educational, explaining your specialty, never results or client stories, and you see the edit before anything goes live.
